Last Updated: March 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how SchoolHabits LLC ("SchoolHabits," "we," "us," or "our"), operated by Katie Azevedo, collects, uses, and protects information gathered through SchoolHabits.com (the "Site") and through the delivery of private tutoring and coaching services. Please read this policy carefully to understand our practices.

1. Information We Collect

  • Browser type, device type, and operating system
  • Pages visited, time spent on pages, and navigation paths
  • IP address and approximate geographic location
  • Mouse movements, clicks, scrolls, and session recordings (see Microsoft Clarity section below)

c. Information We Do Not Collect
SchoolHabits.com does not sell products directly through this website and does not collect credit card numbers or financial account information through the Site. Coaching and tutoring payments are handled directly via cash, check, or Venmo and are not processed through this website.

2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:

  • Send newsletters, educational content, and updates you have subscribed to receive
  • Respond to inquiries about tutoring and coaching services
  • Schedule and conduct coaching and tutoring sessions
  • Analyze site usage to improve content and user experience
  • Serve relevant advertisements through Google AdSense and Meta (see Third-Party Services below)
  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations

3. Coaching and Tutoring Services
a. Nature of Services
SchoolHabits LLC offers private academic coaching and tutoring services conducted via Zoom. These services are educational in nature. Katie Azevedo holds a Master’s degree in Special Education and has extensive experience working with students; however, coaching and tutoring services do not constitute psychological, therapeutic, medical, or legal advice.

b. Services Involving Minors
Many of our coaching and tutoring clients are minors under the age of 18. By engaging our services for a minor, the parent or legal guardian acknowledges and agrees to the following:

  • The parent or guardian consents to their child’s participation in coaching and tutoring sessions
  • The parent or guardian understands that sessions are conducted via Zoom and may be subject to Zoom’s own privacy and data practices
  • SchoolHabits LLC does not intentionally collect personal information from children under the age of 13 through the Site itself; contact and enrollment for minors is handled directly through parent or guardian communication
  • Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising their minor child’s use of this website

c. Session Records
Coach maintains brief session notes for the purpose of tracking client progress and informing future sessions. These notes are stored securely in two locations: digitally in Google Drive (a cloud-based service operated by Google LLC, subject to Google's privacy practices) and physically in a locked file cabinet at Coach's office in Topsfield, MA. Session notes are not shared with third parties except as required by law. Clients or guardians may request access to or deletion of their session records by contacting Coach directly at katie@schoolhabits.com.

d. Payments
Coaching and tutoring payments are accepted via cash, check, or Venmo. No financial information is collected or stored through SchoolHabits.com. Venmo is a third-party service with its own privacy policy; we encourage you to review Venmo’s privacy practices at venmo.com.

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on our Site. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our Site and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it to serve ads to users based on their browsing behavior across the web.

We have implemented Google Demographics and Interests Reporting. We, along with Google, use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookies) and third-party cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) to compile data regarding user interactions with ad impressions and other ad service functions.
